Three Peaks 24 hour Challenge for PACT Sheffield

3 Peaks ChallengePACT dad and Trustee Carl Thompson has spent months of planning and hard work to be ready for a National Three Peaks 24 hour Challenge for PACT.

Carl and his team are aiming to raise at least £5,000 to help fund a new Children’s Cancer Centre by ascending and descending Ben Nevis (Scotland), Scarfell Pike (England) & Snowdon (Wales) all in 24 hours.

Carl’s daughter Ellie was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia when she was 8; she’s been through so much and faced so many tough challenges at a young age, but she carries on smiling no matter what. Since Ellie was diagnosed with Leukaemia on 17th Feb 2011 many different people have helped to raise money for PACT in many different ways.

A group banded together as ‘Ellie’s Heroes’ and trekked the 3 Yorkshire peaks, raising over £4,500; a charity auction raised a further £3,200; brave Movember growths added a generous £1,450, a 15km run another £250 and cycling the coast to coast raised over £2,500.
