Yorkshire Children of Courage Awards 2017

In January this year we were nominated for the Yorkshire Children of Courage Awards 2017 which are run each year by the St. James Place Foundation and we were shortlisted to the last three entries in the Group category. The public could then vote for PACT and Pixelwave Creative made a short film about what PACT does by visiting PACT House and the Oncology clinic at the Sheffield Children’s hospital.

The big night came on Friday 13th October in Leeds at the New Dock Hall and the compere was Christine Talbot who currently works as a television presenter. Amazingly we won and were voted the Peoples Choice Group Award by the public for being the most deserving charitable organisation. You can see a short film with the highlights of the evening here.

PACT Coordinator Beryl Welburn said “We are overwhelmed that we have been recognised for the support that we give our families. To be up against such recognised, large deserving Charities and to come out with first place is truly amazing. This award is in recognition of all the truly amazing children and their families that we meet each and every day”.
