Mr Carl Thompson

I am Carl Thompson and my introduction to PACT came when my then 8 year old daughter Ellie was diagnosed with ALL (Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia) in February 2011. Throughout her two year treatment the PACT team and Beryl in particular supported us and befriended us in what was without doubt the hardest time of our family life.
The work of PACT is of tremendous support to both the children being treated and their families, through simple things such as providing the Parents with a sandwich at lunch times, days out and holidays. I help out with children’s work at my local church in Heeley so when asked if I’d like to help out as a trustee for PACT it didn’t need any thought or persuasion, it is a real privilege to be involved in such a fantastic charity.
