Mrs Jane Mitchell

I’m Jane Mitchell and I first came into contact with PACT on 27th February 2003 the day my daughter Emily was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma. It was two days after her 3rd birthday. PACT supported our family from the word go in so many ways, and we were so grateful. Emily fought her disease for 3 and a half years before she lost her fight.
I stayed in touch with PACT, helping out with fundraising projects, and Daniel, my eldest son, continued to be included as a bereaved sibling. I then had another child George and decided when he started Primary school to come onto the committee as a trustee. That was in 2014! I am always happy to help out with fundraising events, tombolas, open gardens, Christmas card sales. I’ve been an active member since then. I know how hard it is for the families as I’ve been there, and I also know how much the support of Beryl and now Sarah is appreciated and so valuable. I’ll keep going as long as the committee need me!
