Yorkshire Building Society donate £1,000 to PACT

Yorkshire Building Society donate £1000 to PACTWe would like to thank the Yorkshire Building Society for their donation of £1,000. This will allow PACT to buy new furniture and toys for its house near Sheffield Children’s Hospital which is specially designed for families to stay in while their children are undergoing treatment. The donation was put forward by colleagues at Yorkshire Building Society’s branch in Doncaster after they were approached by a member whose daughter is currently being treated at Sheffield Children’s Hospital.

Claudia Burrows, customer representative at the Yorkshire’s Doncaster branch, said:

“I’m delighted the Charitable Foundation has been able to help PACT. Few of us can imagine how difficult it must be when their child is diagnosed with cancer but PACT do such a wonderful job providing a ‘home from home’ for families while their little ones are in hospital.”

Beryl Welburn, PACT Co-ordinator, said:

“We are so grateful to the Charitable Foundation for their kind donation which means we can make the playroom at PACT house more welcoming and practical for all the families that use it. We will also be able to buy some new toys and books for the children to use.”
