Meet our vice chair

Introducing our Vice Chair
Liz Hunt became the vice in 2021 after serving as a trustee since 2019.
Having been through a cancer diagnosis of a child, Liz hopes to contribute a parent’s perspective of what is needed to support families in future.
In January 2018 her youngest son, Sam was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia, aged 7.
“Four words changed our lives unimaginably….’your child has cancer’! Sam was admitted to Sheffield Children’s Hospital immediately and was started on chemotherapy. It is hard to describe the whirlwind of emotions and a lot of it is now a blur”
What stayed at the forefront of her mind was the fact that PACT was there for them from that very first day. Lending a listening ear, understanding, making sure they at least ate a sandwich and further down the line the precious weeks in Filey, Berwick and day trips so Liz decided to join as a trustee to really make a difference.
